Meet PINKY

At 37 years old, Allison "Pinky" Shepherd is a passionate and versatile artist hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her journey into the world of production began in high school, where she operated cameras for Sunday services at her local church. This early exposure ignited a love for the creative process that would shape her future.

After completing high school, Allison enrolled at Baton Rouge Community College, balancing basic classes with courses in film production. It was during this time that she found inspiration from an unexpected source—living with a vibrant community of drag queens. This experience prompted her to channel her artistic skill set into the beauty industry.

In 2006, Allison's dedication and talent earned her a full-paid scholarship to The Aveda Institute. Following the completion of cosmetology school, she honed her skills as a color specialist at Paris Parker for two years. Simultaneously, she embraced a unique side gig as the house mother at a strip club, providing hair and makeup services for the performers and raising funds to fulfill her entrepreneurial dreams.

The culmination of her experiences led to the opening of Pink Cheeks Hair Studio, where she not only served her clients but also made a seamless transition into the film and TV industry. A pivotal moment came when she crossed paths with Margeaux Fox on the set of the first Pitch Perfect movie. Under Margeaux's mentorship, Allison earned her membership in the prestigious 798 hair and makeup union in 2014.

After three years in New Orleans, fueled by a relentless pursuit of her dreams, Allison relocated to Atlanta. As a child, art and theatre were constants in her life, and she always knew she was destined for a career in the artistic realm. Crafting hair designs for character development has become Allison's passion, and her infectious love for making people laugh has made her a sought-after professional in the industry.

Allison is known for her strong work ethic, initiative, and positive mindset. She firmly believes in the power of manifesting one's reality, a philosophy that has driven her accomplishments. Her goal is simple yet profound: to be a dedicated team player and bring a smile to those around her, ensuring that the joy she finds in her work is shared with the world.
